Selling Tobacco should be banned

This is one of the topics on which there is a lot of need to do the discussion. Due to this single thing of tobacco, many of the lives of multiple families have been destroyed and once the person has started doing such activities he/she becomes addicted to it and can not even leave it as they have been addicted to it leaving it couldn’t be possible for them and they also know that if they kept using it they will end up by having any serious health issue like. Cancer and they will die as it totally degrades the body quality, which starts creating multiple health issues.

History-

The history of tobacco can be traced back to very old times between 5000-3000 BC. In India, it was found in the 12th century but at that time it was not used as an intoxicant at that time it was used as a medical substance to cure a person for some disease. On the island of Tobago, the people of that islands were making the roll of the leaf the plant and the smoke which was been produced from using the leaf was providing satisfaction to the people when Christopher Columbus by accident discovered the narcotic qualities of these tobacco leaves when he along with his friends have been traveling and reached the island and they have seen that the people were making a roll of the leaf and by burning them they were finding relief and a sense of satisfaction for them, he along with his friend also tried and they have found that it was s very satisfying from them when they have used it from that time it was being introduced in Europe. The red Indians were using these leaves for both medical purposes and also as self-satisfaction purposes. In India it was introduced during the late 17th century and in India it was found that it has now become a commercial crop in the country and the government is generating a huge amount of revenue from it- 6000 crore for foreign exchange and 20000 crore for excise revenue.

Why it should be Banned?

In our country, the government is facing a lot of problems while trying to ban this substance in India a lot of the revenue is being generated from this crop cultivation. Also, a lot of people are being employed while doing the process of production. So if it is totally banned then a lot of people will be unemployed and will have to start to find some jobs in order to fulfill the basic needs of the family. This is also one of the reasons why our country is unable to still put a proper ban on this item, because the country has to think overall development of the people.

Protecting future Generations-

This is also one of the important points on the basis of which we get a point to put a ban on tobacco production. If we will continue using tobacco in the market then our future generation will be destroyed and we will not be able to protect them. As these products are in the market have to stop our children from using them as they are available in the market locally and anyone can buy them as per their use and requirement and once the small children or the children in their adulthood or adolescence age they are not properly aware of the things like what is good and what is bad for them and at that time if they are using this tobacco and after multiple use, they will become addicted and once they become addicted at the early age them they will not be able to leave it and after a certain age they will have a serious health issue which will totally destroy the life of the individual.

Environmental Impact-

It’s another point on the basis of which the government should ban tobacco as it has a very bad impact on our environment. During the process of production required for making the final product from the initial product, a lot of the forest is cut, and multiple no. Of the lands are destroyed from the production of such a crop. Once the crops are grown on a particular land then after multiple uses the land will become infertile and cannot be used for growing any of the types of crops and after a lot of time and effort, the land will again become fertile. But it takes a lot of time to recover the land back to normal.

Conclusion-

In the end, we will only recommend a single thing that the person should not use tobacco otherwise the life of the person is totally destroyed and the government should try to educate more and more so that the person should think more about themselves and not step in any such kind of the activities in order to live his life in a proper way and without any problem. The government should also try to find a proper solution so that the people of the country can be saved from destroying their lives. We will suggest that any of the kinds of tobacco should not be used by anyone.
